Address Lookup API Pricing

There is no doubt that businesses rely on address lookup tools on a daily basis. Addresses are needed for everything from opening bank accounts to delivering products. The wrong addresses can result in failed deliveries, bad user experiences, and costly customer support. To avoid this, it is important to choose an address lookup API that offers reliable, cost-effective services

Google's autocomplete API is available to small businesses at no charge. However, it has limitations. It only suggests valid addresses, does not validate addresses, and does not cover apartment numbers or suites. If you want to use it for larger volumes, you will need to get an API key and pay for it.

Fortunately, there are other address lookup APIs that offer more comprehensive solutions. For example, Smarty's US and international address autocomplete APIs can suggest addresses based on your input. Unlike Google's autocomplete API, Smarty's addresses autocomplete doesn't require you to make additional API calls.

Google's address validation API is another solution that can help you standardize addresses. This API can identify missing address components, correct typos, and provide appropriate formatting for localities. With an API key, you can also use this API to improve user experiences.

In addition to the address API, you can also use the Geocoding API to check a ZIP Code and display the location. However, you can only use the Geocoding API for five lookups per request while the Maps API is working.

Using both of these APIs will create a lot of friction. You'll have to add extra steps to your website, and the probability of form abandonment is higher.
